Raised in Detroit’s early 2000s garage rock scene, Kate Cassise grew up immersed in live music as a child. She spent her early adulthood modeling and working alongside many photographers who mentored her through the craft of photography for years as primarily a film photographer. based in New York, she works as a freelance music photographer working with Brooklyn venues, touring with bands, shooting album art, and documenting live music in a documentary style.
She is currently a contributor at alt citizen, and in addition has been published in alt press, glide magazine, and more.
